I realized that in my work with inks during Inktober that I hadn't tried to see exactly how easy/difficult it would be to lighten the inks to nearly completely faded. So I chose the whitest flower I could think of, the tan hua, which I learned about from the book Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. It turned out well, though getting the ink that faded was really difficult. Still, I love how it looks. It's even more brilliant in person.
